What is Zero Balancing
Zero Balancing (ZB) is a therapy that uses touch to balance the relationship between energy and structure within the body.
Dr. Fritz Smith, MD, an osteopath and acupuncturist, founded Zero Balancing in the early 1970ís. He also qualified as a licensed acupuncturist in 1972, and studied with J.R. Worsley at the Chinese College of Acupuncture in England. This background, of Western and Eastern medical practises, culminated in the development of Zero Balancing.
How does Zero Balancing work?
Finger pressure and held stretches are used to focus on the joints and bones to create repeating points of stillness around the client's body to enable reorganisation and relaxation. By using these points, the body's energy and structure simultaneously balance. Tension is released and pain is eased.
The technique helps the client achieve a refreshing state of relaxation.
What does Zero Balancing treatment involve?
A session is usually about 40 minutes long.
After taking medical details, the therapist will begin the treatment by starting with the lower back, legs and feet, moving to the upper body and head before returning to the feet.
